ordered the reg. 4.0 megapixel last night, cant wait to get it in and stop messin with the film!
You'll be glad you did picture capacity-wise, although picture quality will decline. None of the commercial digitals take anywhere near as clear of pictures as a film camera. The only way to get film-quality images is to go homebrew.

None of the commercial digitals take anywhere near as clear of pictures as a film camera. The only way to get film-quality images is to go homebrew. Generally speaking, I agree.
However, in bright sunshine, I believe the 6.1 mp Leaf River digital will rival the image quality of the DC-200 film cams using 400 speed film. I'm also eager to post a little comparison between my new "homebrew" and the Cuddeback No Flash --- I think most people will be shocked. But we will post no comparison until it's time.
If you're willing to spend around $350, I'd consider nothing but a homebrew until the commercial lines come out with something more competitive. But keep your eye on Bushnell.

I just ordered one today out of cabelas for 100$ its a 4.0 moultry .My first one . You get what you pay for so I'm not expecting the best cam on the market ,but from the pics I have seen posted on here It should do fine. I have two stealth cams a 1.3 and a 4.0 I am pleased with the 1.3 but the 4.0 batt life sucks. I have not gotten more than two weeks out of a set of batteries since I put it out. I think stealth cam is setting them up to eat batteries so you will buy there external batt pack for 40 bucks. I have allready spent 40 $ in c batts so I guess I should buy one.

If pic quality isn't critical, then I think you will really like the Moultries.
