How do y'all prep your liver for recipes? We have tried to start incorporating liver into more meals but have found that prep makes all the difference in the world between good and bad.

Especially for livers of older deer, soak them in mile for an hour or two. Older liver sometimes has a bitter taste.

Otherwise, I don't do much except rinse them in cold water. I like to make livers and onions sautéed in butter. Dirty rice is good, too:
