Does any one have a pet load using 180 Accubonds in the 300 win mag? I know ever gun is different, just wondering what has worked for other folks. Thanks

My 300 is a Browning A-Bolt with BOSS & I can make just about any load group well by adjusting the BOSS settings. However with the 180 grain Ballistic tip which is very similar to the Accubond, I use 77 grains of IMR7828 not the short cut over 215M primers in R-P brass. My OAL is 3.410 and yes, that means one the chamber and one in the mag. I also have 75.5 grains of RL22 in front of the 215M shooting very well.

In loading several 300'c over the years I have found that book-low and moderate charges are not as accurate. As usual, start at book min's and work up.

Thanks guys. I will be shooting a Browning Long Range Hunter A-Bolt. Want to use it in Alberta next year for deer. I had good success with the 180 gr Accubond in Saskatchewan with a Browning A-Bolt 300 WSM. Decided to go ahead and get the 300 Win Mag. Planning to go to Naimbia when I retire in a few years.

H-1000 in a .300 mag is hard to beat. I load 81 grains of H-1000 with 190 SMKs and 79 grains with 180 Accubonds for longrange shooting. My favorite load for hunting is 78 grains of Reloader 22 with Berger VLD hunting bullet.

The Berger is preety long. Any problem with seating the bullet too deep in the short 300 neck or does your gun have a longer throat?
