Ready to buy a new smoke pole I got it down to 2. Thompson Triumph or Omaga. If you own one of these I would like to hear what you think.

I've got an Omega, all camo in thumbhole stock. I've been very pleased with it, killed several deer with it. I'm selling it only because I've been bitten by the smokeless bug, had I not, I would hunt with it with confidence.

Is it a right hand thumbhole stock? I shoot left handed.

Great signature.

Triumph over the omega. I have the triumph and my buddy has the omega and mine is easier to clean because of the speed breech and it breaks open.

The stock is right handed. The Omega doesn't have the speed breech, but it has been my experience that unless you're cleaning every 2-3 shots, the speed breech gets enough powder fouling that it becomes just as much a pain to take out as a standard breech plug. However, if you clean every 2-3 shots, it is definitely easier to deal with!

I'm a Smokeless Convert but before that I shot a TC Omega and loved it. Pops shoots it now with no complaints. No it doesn't have the Speed Breech like the Triumph but its still not hard to clean.

I shoot Triumph and my son an Omega.I clean them both and Triumph is by far easier to clean. Both shoot great. I would pick the Triumph between the 2.

At this point, my only advice to ANYONE about muzzleloading is to go smokeless. I rarely passionately advocate products and such, but going smokeless is BY FAR the BEST move I've ever made with muzzleloading, possibly the best decision period when it comes to deer hunting in the fall. My smokeless is accurate, very low maintenance, has minimal recoil and it is just plain fun to shoot and tinker with in off season. My .02, best of luck with your final decision.
