Wife wanted to fish so bad, but I wasn't looking forward to fighting the crowd on Memorial Day. Kids wanted to go see the grandparents in Savannah, so my wife said that we were going to Pickwick. Figured if we got there at daylight, we would be done by 10am and off of the water before the party boats decided to come out and play. WRONG! I had to drag her off of the water after 11.5 hours of fishing at 5 pm. \:D She got her first taste of ledge fishing and the only boats out from daylight til 10:30 or so, were the anglers. The fish didn't disappoint either. I don't know how many we caught. We ran out of fingers and toes between the 2 of us. \:D We caught em on 6xd's, 3/4 oz football jigs tipped with rage craws, shakey heads with magnum trick worms, T-rigged 12 inch worms, and slow rolling a 5" hollow belly swimbait on a 3/4 oz head. It was a blast and she is hooked now. Nothing like finding big schools of fish on the ledges and catching one and then getting the whole school fired up to where you start catching them on every cast for a little bit.
