Went with mudbone to undisclosed waters and caught a few. Here are a couple of them







Look at this hybrid sunfish, a bit ambitious.

Thats not a hybrid, its a green sunfish, but yes he was very ambitious!

I'm not arguing with you at all, but what are your reasons for saying its a hybrid? Other than what appears to be 8 dorsal spines based on the pic. But it does have the 3 spines on the anal fin. I see no reason to think it would be anything else. I don't see the black spot on the dorsal or anal fin, but thats not necessarily a defining characteristic.Just curious. FYI, their good eatin' too.

We called them Mudbass where I grew up. I think Green Sunfish is the official term. Looked just like that.

Good idea on the "undisclosed location". You don't want the GPS coordinates of that place getting out. good job!
