Anyone here ever put a whole deer on the grill or outdoor pig roaster?I thought it sounded fun.I guess you would do it like a goat?

It's tricky to do it well, but it can be done. If you we're going to do a spit, I would tie the legs up next to the body. Also, a yearling deer is what you want for this. A mature deer will be especially difficult because of the cooking time difference on different muscles. Wouldn't hurt to put some fatback in the cavity and brush a light coating of it across the body once it melts.
