This is one we bought at Lowes and its sitting on the patio. Thats the first fire in it from tonight while we roasted dogs and smores. Eventually we want to build a fireplace at the end of the patio.

This one is about 60 yards behind the house and is just stacked rock.

This ones the one I plan on doing. They used the wheel from a semi and the stone from lowes.

My Son just built one yesterday on his new paver patio I'll get some picks today...We put a center drain in it so water would not collect in it.....

I'm glad you posted. Camping this weekend sitting by the fire Sunday night I was thinking.....I've got to build me a fire pit in the backyard.

I like the design of some of those. I think I have enough of those stacked blocks or whatever left over I might could build one.

This is what I started this weekend.
We already had the firepit and 4 stones down. Added the other stones and swing.
Next week we will add one row to the end and one row to each side.
Then we will add a table of some sort on each side of the swing and add blocks around the firepit kinda like what poleaxe posted.

Rob Brooks of Lasting Impressions. He used to live around the corner from me. It was a 10' x 10' aggregate patio and is now 42' x 16' if I remember correctly. He added a sidewalk too from it to the driveway. We then added the covering a year later and sometimes wish I had covered the whole thing. Here's a few more pics.

Take my man card but I told the wife to check Pinterest and there is a ton on there. Some people dug round hole lined inside with bricks and put stone around top...looked good.
