For those not aware, the Freedom to Fish Act legislation submitted by Lamar Alexander and others in Tennessee and Kentucky which gaurantees our right to fish the waters on the 10 dams on the Cumberland River system has now passed the Senate and the House. It will be on Obama's desk shortly for his signature. Once signed we will gain access back to these waters for at least the next two years while permanent legislation is being worked on in Washington. A big thanks to all that fought for this from our Politicians in Kentucky and Tennessee to those of us that sent letters and called our representatives. Thanks to TWRA and KDFWS for saying they would not enforce these policies when they were suggested by the Corp of Engineers. |
This is a huge win for us outdoorsmen!
