Could anyone give me a ballpark value for a Sako Finnbear 30-06 with a 31,xxx serial number? It is not the deluxe model, but seems to be in good condition. Looking for price without scope. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info. Any ideas when it was made? I've been reading about Garcia/pre-Garcia. I'm not sure which this would be.

I use to have one that looked a lot like the rifle in pass-thru's link. If I remember correctly it had a fairly dark stock with a somewhat glossy finish. I bought it new in 1972 and killed my first deer with it the same year.

I saw a nice one at the last gun show... it had a 4x scope on it for $650 and was in good shaped... lasted about 1/2 a day before it was sold... it was a good deal.

Great gun, Good caliber but the do not bring the real high dollars you see some people asking.... However, they are a ton of gun for the money...
FWIW... i have owned somewhere around 20 over the years and never paid more than $800 for one... I only have a few left now and have never sold one for more than $800 either.
