I'm shooting about 60-70 arrows a day 6x a week. Some days I shoot 100. My Rinehart Rhinoblock is getting pummeled and I'm about to replace the insert for the third time this year.

My 3D target gets some shots but I save it for closer to season. Do y'all shoot your 3D targets year round?

Shooting at a 3d target that much and having to replace inserts so much is going to get expensive. I shoot my blob target and every now and then I set up my 4 3-d targets and pop a few arrows in there just for 3-d practice, but that's it. Get a blob target and forget having to by a target for a very, very long time.

I think I might just get one.

The newest Blob I bought is not as good as the older ones. I got mine from the Blob guy on ArcheryTalk....met him in Calhoun, GA to pick my target up. Mine is the 40"x36" "irregular size" big Blob from http://WWW.blobtargets.net

I've had mine about 3 months now and am already seeing arrows come through the back of my most shot spots. The older generation Blobs took YEARS to start showing signs of wear like that. Others on ArcheryTalk have said the same thing about the newer ones. Mine indeed has a softer rubbery texture to it compared to the older ones that were firm and more gritty feeling.

As for 3D targets...I usually don't shoot mine much after I first get them...but then it's like a switch goes off and I start to pound away at them...then they are toast.
