Senator Alexander attended a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement today at Ellington Center between TWRA, TVA, USFWS, and the GA DNR that is designed to keep the National Fish Hatcheries at Dale Hollow and Erwin open until a long-term funding solution can be found. The signing is VERY good news for trout fishermen in TN.

In addition, Senator Alexander had some VERY good news on developements in the closures of the Corps dams. I think all of the major TV stations were in attendance, so it will be worth watching the news this evening!

He is playing hard ball with the corp. I guess they forgot who held their purse strings.

I particularly like the delegation of enforcement to state agencies, and our agency has said it will not enforce that rule.

I think it's great Senator Alexander has taken these tailwater closures so seriously, and seems to be doing a seriously good job.

I agree Wes. It only takes ONE trip to a tail water on a high demand fishing day to see the economic impact of that relatively small area upon the neighboring communities. It really is a big deal!
