Had a Smith & Wesson Airwieght J-Frame on the want list for years.... Well ever since I sold a Taurus 85ul. Now that I think about it that's why the Taurus was purchased, thought the Taurus would fill the same spot. Don't take this a Taurus bashing, it was a dang fine little 38 but the "Made in Brazil" stamping just seemed wrong.

Last week a deal came along. Always had visions of the black 442 version dancing around in my dreams but when the price is right, guess the stainless 642 version will do. Put a set of VZ G10 grips on it and call it done. Man I need to practice, if anyone has any tips for shooting a DAO snuby I'm all ears. The dual action only is new to me and was doing good to keep 5 shots on notebook paper at 7 yds with the first 10 rounds that went through it. Up to 50 rounds through it now and doing much better.

Any snuby shooting tips?
Any suggestions on an IWB holster?

would like to see what snubs others are playing with, post your pics!

Put an APEX trigger kit in it then dryfire it at the TV for hours on end and the trigger will get smoother. Also, you'r not gonna like those grips if you shoot +P or 158gr ammo.

I have the 442 with no lock and Love it,,I practice shooting it a lot from the hip,for lack of a better phrase,,I can come out of my pocket with it and have 5 rounds in a pretty good cluster at close range in very short order,,

never without it,,

I like those grips a lot. I have the S&W model 638, which is the stainless version with the shroud over the hammer. You can shoot it either DAO or single action, but it won't snag in your pocket or on your clothes.

Have to look into that apex kit. For $30 it sounds worth a try and I'm addicted to tinkering and modifying.
Ran 5 +p hydra shoks through it (128gr I think) they were snappy. Would like to play with some other ammo options but local and online supply is a bit scarce. All I've come up with is PMC lrn and the hydra shoks.

I have the exact gun with factory grips and shoot the Remington sabers (believe that's what they're called). Its a little on the peppy side since its so light so not one I just go shooting with. Love how easy it is to conceal though
