We lost him Saturday night on his 15th birthday, he was scheduled for a surgery at UT on Tuesday to open up the laregeal paralysis on his trachea we came home sat night and he got excited and could not breathe again and we just could not pull him out of it. it was so hard and I miss him terribly. I am home for at least this week after having rotator cuff surgery so it is very hard to be here without him please send prayers up to doggy heaven for me

Labs are such loyal dogs and want to please their owners. Every one seems to have its own personality. Sorry to hear about that.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My bride has always said if something happens to my lab Gus, she'll have to put me down also.

So sorry to hear. Labs are some of the best dogs I have ever had. Been lucky enough to have 2 through the years.

Sorry to hear about Char, Diana. He was a neat dog.

Hope your recovery goes smooth!

It is always hard to lose a companion - you have my condolences. My yellow lab Mollie (or as my 2 year old daughter calls her "Moggie") is almost 12 and she is starting to show her age, as arthritis is setting in. It will be hard when it is her time. She is always near by when my daughter is outside, making sure that she doesn't wander off too far (of course, me or my wife are also outside keeping track of her too!) and keeps a watchful eye on her.
Good luck with your shoulder rehab, and be sure to do what the therapist tells you even though it will be painful at times.
