Great looking setup....a lot heavier than I use, but I love the dark setup—the guys I shoot with would absolutely hate you! LOL \:\)

Lady's man, yes those tips are strictly for target shooting. They do a decent job of keeping the arrow off target if it hits another arrow, instead of "bumping" it out of the "ring", but it normally damages the tip in the process.

With an arrow that big and colored all black, he is going to make it look like a big black hole for everybody to shoot at \:\) For some reason people gravitate subconsciously to hitting shot out holes on targets, even if they are trying to shoot to the sides of it. I had the same idea but that is my theory as to why everybody was hitting all around my arrow because it sure didn't make them disappear into the target like I was thinking it would...it just makes it look like a shot out hole.

The other thing I have played with is to intimidate people with bright colored fletch that does intentionally stick out like a sore thumb. My hot pink/white with flo green nocks stand out like crazy...they look like they cover an area the size of a half dollar from the stake. I've noticed that if you are in the 12 ring or even close to it...that people will get afraid of hitting your arrow and it knocking them out into the 8, so they wont even shoot for the lower 12 or will call for upper 12s. I noticed this in Florida when my actual arrow shaft would just be close to the 12 but my fletch made it look like I was covering part of it up...people wouldn't shoot for the 12.

except for the black targets . When its in the black targets , you can't see nothing lol . I shoot with guys who shoot k50 and open A . And I was getting tired of replacing bushings and knocks all the time . The bushings stand out the most if they are shining .

Yeah on fresh black targets they work good for disappearing. These new generation McKenzie targets are so bad that by one round, they have gaping holes in the 10 rings anyway. You might can disappear in the holes and be like a chameleon \:\) They tell me the Kentucky courses are in extremely low light so that would help you with dark shadows too. We shoot our first range at 8:00 and second round in the afternoon. I keep hearing about the ranges being set on a powerline up there but I don't know what to expect.
