Should have them at lowes or Home Depot. Unless they are shipping them all overseas now.

You mean actual whiskey barrels? Those are real hard to find as they get shipped to France to age Brandy. You can get replica whiskey barrels halves at Home Depot foor ~$60

Just go to the Jack Daniels distillery and buy a barrel. I think its like $8,000 now. As an added bonus, you'll have whiskey for life!

Oh that brings back memories of unloading truck loads of 1/2 barrels in the garden center in the middle of July. There was still liquid in them, glad those days are over.

No joking. I believe you can buy previously used barrels from Jack Daniels. Sandor Katz in his book the Art of Fermentation references doing this.

You can buy used barrels from Jack Daniels, at least you could a year or two ago. They still have the smell to them.
