Why should we answer the question??

We DID not write the bill, we didn't know anything about it until YOU posted it.

Why ask us?? Write YOUR Congressman since it's a House bill. Ask HIM to explain it to you.

Ben, have you even read the article? It is the employee's choice. Federal and state workers already get the option, they are wanting to extend it to everyone. Apparently the low information left either can't read, don't want people to have that option, or simply regurgitate what their steward tells them to. In this case it is probably a combination of all three.

Actually not all federal workers get this option..mgmt. does but not others.

it would actually be 2 to 1. you would get paid for the hours worked AND for the time off.

I don't get OT pay because I'm salaried. I get straight time pay or comp time at 1.5 times the hours worked....my choice and I usually always take the off time

I don't see it that way....overtime wouldn't be paid time...you would be able to take time off and get paid straight time equal to the hours worked. By taking comp time you will give up 4 hours pay on a 8 hour overtime shift.

Yep! T&L workers generally don't, as unions HATE comp time

Nothing political about it.

Not sure which Congressman is yours but give him a call and get him to explain it to you. Better yet call the democrats ones that are still alive and ask them about the bill they pushed though Congress in 1985.
