The ones that did not know their spouse very well before they got married.

I have a related story. When I was younger and living in San Diego I had two female roommates. I wasn't around much because I was in the submarine force and we were frequently out at sea. One of my roommates had a boyfriend who was a hunting and fishing machine. This dude hunted a lot. She could deal with the fishing, but she absolutely loathed his hunting. She was a very pretty and high maintenance girl who grew up in North Carolina and had dated hunters in high school and college and she decided she wanted no more of it. She dumped her boyfriend and swore to me that she would never date another hunter again. About a year later she ended up marrying some amateur rugby player from New Zealand who's US travel visa was about to expire. I had to laugh because if you know any hardcore rugby players you know they are not exactly the romantic, high maintenance type. This guy fit the stereotype. Sometimes I wonder how that turned out for her.

Absolutely no reason for that ever to happen. There is no way a stupid deer or fish could come between me and my beautiful wife.

She is first priority and whatever leftover time there happens to be is when I'll fish or hunt.

Sorry guys for that last post. My wife was standing over my shoulder so what was I supposed to do?

What I meant to say was, God gave each of you two backhands. If a woman ever gives you any lip about hunting or fishing, you need to use them. We are putting food on the table and don't need any lip. That lip is what causes divorce and it's up to us men to make sure that doesn't happen.

All I'm going to say is to never, ever marry a woman that does not have a hobby.

If she has a problem with it while you are dating, she will have a bigger problem with it when you are married. The majority that divorce for that reason probably have bigger issues. There are men who just make sure they aren't around and use hunting/fishing as an excuse to skip out on time with family. Women may use some hobby for the same reason. Being disconnected doesn't work.

In a related story, last night there was a minor earthquake in McMinn County, TN, registering 5.0 on the Richter Scale.
Upon investigating the source of the "quake", officials discovered one "Tennessee" Todd _______ lying unconscious in his living room next to a smashed computer.
He is survived by his loving wife............................

My wife knows that I can get obsessed with hunting and fishing. She says she's single from September to January. I don't hunt as much because I'm back in school and still working full-time.
