Brady has been the speaker at a couple of our revival services, and I went to hear him speak in Tullahoma a couple of years ago (I happened to be in Tullahoma and learned that he was holding revival services). My Pastor is originally from Greenfield and got to know him many years ago when when he was a Pastor at Tune and Brady was just a young whippersnapper. Brady is certainly a dynamic speaker and brings a lot of unique life experiences into his messages. I think some older church members are a little taken aback by his somewhat "in your face" style and he is not afraid to step on some toes to get his points across, but in my eyes that is much better than a meek delivery from some namby-pamby milquetoast speaker. I think he has cut back some on his traveling speaking after getting married a year or so ago and puts more effort into his online H20 ministry.

I highly recommend going to hear him if he is speaking in your area.

LOL yeah woodchuckc, we have quite a few "older" members at our church and he was really holding back, you could tell. \:D

He married our preachers daughter.

Very dynamic for sure.
Definately don't mind tellin ya how it is.

I loved it when he would make a very strong point and everyone was just kinda sitting there and he would say, "I'm sorry people but that right there is good preaching." LOL

He preached a revival at my church many years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. Absolutely wonderful sermons. He is definitely a great preacher.

LOL - you are right about him wanting people to get fired up. Like most Baptist churches, our congregation tends to be pretty passive and he used the same statement several times on us. He also likes to compare how quiet us white Southern Baptists are to the generally much more vocal and responsive black churches when he preaches.

I know his bride is a preacher's daughter, and like most of us he really married up (she is quite the attractive young lady, and is a genuinely nice person). Our pastor and his wife bugged him for years about marrying her, as they dated for several years. I have kept in touch with Brady via email for the past several years, and was hoping to get him to come for our revival services last month but he was already committed elsewhere by the time we asked him. We ended up having Dr. Jerry Drace from Jackson come for our revival, and he is very good as well (a lot different style compared to Brady, but an excellent speaker with great messages).

I remember hearing Brady when he did a Friday night thing after a football game for high school & junior high in Gleason. I think I was in 7th or 8th grade... I guess that would have been 20 years ago.
