My mother just bought 2 cheap little cedar bird feeders. She thinks they will stay that way while I know it will turn grey in months...

I really don't want to buy a jug of stain/sealant and brush these guys.

Anybody know a good spray can sealant I can hose these things with?

You can get spray polyurethane at lowes. Works good.

i dont know of anything that will keep wood from graying over time. i do like the old weathered gray look myself

Hasn't yet...it goes on a lot thinner than if you use a brush. It takes a few applications because the wood soaks it up really well.
