Does it really matter on which reloading manual i buy and use when reloading ammo?

I ordered one from Hornady and i got an email a week later saying it's on back order. so i need to find a other one before my press, dies and everything get here.

I've been told that Lyman and Speer are very good manuals...so that's what I got. ;\) Lyman also lists pressures.

You need a couple of different ones anyway to compare recipes and look at different powder/bullet combinations. I always liked the Speer manuals but have used most all of them from time to time.

I like the ABC's of reloading by Lee as a good introductory one. I later bought the Hornady reloading manual since I mostly shoot SSTs and their BTHP.

What calibers do you reload for? If you reload 270, 7mm, 243, etc. you can buy older used manuals at a much cheaper price. You can also find a wealth of load data on the internet but always be conservative and load down a little bit starting out.

well the 2 calibers I'm going to start with is 30-06 and 30-30 for right now.

Then when i get started and get use to it then i'll get a few more guns then start reloading for them.

Most all are good. I am setting here looking a Sierra, Speers, Hornady, Modern Reloading (Lee), Nosler, Barnes, VihtaVuori, and Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook in my book case. Even thoe I use all at onetime or another the two I use the most are Sierra and Hornady.
