I just purchased a 26 inch heavy stainless barrel in .25-06 Remington caliber for my Encore. Has anyone had any experience with this caliber, maybe even this barrel, that could share with me their favorite loads??

Thanks, but I'm no reloader. How would that correlate into factory loads?

I love the 25. I've had 2. I have never hand loaded but both of the rifles I had, (Rem 700 classic, and NEF ultra) shot the winchester supremes in a 115 ballistic tip really well. I have friends that have the 25 and eat, sleep and breathe handloading, and they say that the sierra gameking is hard to beat for deer, and accuracy, and one of the guys is shooting my old classic that I sold to him.

it aint gonna get much better than the Federal load I spoke of above without going to reloads, the Hornady Light Mag 117 BTSP is good too,but the Sierra GK bullet in the Federal load is always option One in factory loads for accuracy and they will smoke anything up to mule deer.

for years I shot the Win 117 PEP load and it done good but only clocked about 2850,the Federal 117 goes 3095 from my 26 incher.

Can't say for sure personnally for the Hornady Light Magnums (although I am sure they are great too), but just regular Hornady Custom's shoot well in my dad's 25/06.
