I picked up a 5 ib bag at the co-op the other day for $10. They were out of trophy rocks. Bag said it contains calcium phosphurs and selenium. Sounds good for antlers.Anyone ever try it?

Yes, very good stuff. The 30-06 feed with sunflower seeds in it is also goo. The deer love it.

I have gave this stuff the benefit of the doubt several times and never again. Have not had deer do anything with it. They will use a TR or just loose mineral mix that I make up now but will not touch the 30-06. Maybe if I were to mix more salt with it then that would have helped but for now I am done with it.

I use both "30-06" and "30-06 with Protein" along with "Rack-Up". My deer eat them all about equally. The reason I chose these 3 mixes are that they have the least salt of any products that I've found. That leads me to at least HOPE they will do something to improve a deers health rather than simply attracting them like salt does.

Do I have any proof that bucks have larger antlers becasue I've been putting this stuff out for 9 or 10 years? Not really. But then I think it's unrealistic to think you are going to see rack sizes increase so much that you notice it by casual observation on random bucks. What I do believe is that you probably get 5 or 10% more antler mass - not necessarily 5 or 10% greater B&C scores either. Even 10% greater mass is not going to make you drop your jaws when looking at a buck but to me, it's certainly worth spending $50 a year on a few bags of minerals. Even if it's only 5% it's worth that much. And anything that helps bucks is obviously going to help does and more importantly help give fawns a better chance of surviving.
