Concur. I would have suggested that one also, but figured you had already read it.

For fiction, 11/22/63 by Stephen King. His best since IT

For non-fiction, Lone Survivor was VERY good

Fear not, comrade. This is purely for de plane. We'll be at an all-inclusive resort for seven nights on the beach. Those books will be collecting dust from the moment we touch down on the island!

Thanks for all the suggestions (and concern). I just ordered Lone Survivor and American Sniper. I figured those Heroes deserved that I buy their books. I'll consider the rest for future reading.

Just wanted to give an update. I ended up getting Kyle's American Sniper and Lone Survivor and Service (read on a work trip) by Marcus Luttrell. Lone Survivor is, by far, the best read of the three. There was a whole lot more to Operation Redwing than I thought. It's a great read; I couldn't put it down! It's amazing that he made it out alive, and the bravery demonstrated by his fellow warriors was inspiring.

Here's a view from the pier in front of our resort. We stayed at Divi Carina on the Southeast end of the island. It was beautiful! Watching the pelicans made for some good entertainment.

This was the view from our room on the first night, the only night time it rained on us.

Oh yeah, St. Croix has some pretty good rum \:\)

Someday when you can find an hour mostly free of distractions, I strongly recommend that you watch the 2-part video at the link below. Same goes for anyone else who wants to see what a hero looks and sounds like.
