Any suggestions on the best way to clean and maintain deer mounts? I have a couple mounted in a foyer that have become pretty dusty and I finally got the ladder inside and took them down. Other than a vacuum and a brush, what would you recommend?

my taxidermist always told me to spray a little Windex on a paper towel and wipe them off gently

My guy told me to wipe your hands over it every time you think about it, and the oils from your hands will help keep it conditioned.

fresh light bread works great, just wipe mount with it, you will be very surprised how easy it works and how good your mounts will look

Yeah til the local insane asylum shows up at your door with chains and a white coat because your neighbor called them complaining about you always petting your deer mounts.....

Pressure washer is a much safer bet.

either way will work, but its easier with the crust off, the fresher the bread the better it works, an "Ole Timer" told me this trick back in the late 60's, the fresh bread also seems to apply just the right amount of oil to give the mount the slick shinny look
