Thanks for all the suggestions! I have plenty of reviewing to do. I'm leading toward "No Easy Day"; that military stuff fascinates me.

Not sure what sort of stuff you like... I don't read much, but my favorite author is Larry Brown. I've read all of his books and there aren't any that I didn't like. They're all fictional. They are all set in the South and are very gritty.

Joe
Dirty Work
Fay
Big Bad Love
Father & Son (I might suggest this one)
The Rabbit Factory
A Miracle of Catfish

Warning - A Miracle of Catfish was in progress when he died. They published it unedited. It doesn't really have an ending and there are parts where he really rambles a lot.

Pick up The Diaries of Lewis and Clark or any book on the Corps of Discovery.

I firmly believe there is not a man alive today that could go through what they did.

Agreed, the Hathcock book was better than Kyle's book—even though both are great reads. Another book I highly recommend is Force Recon Diary 1969 and 1970 by Bruce Norton. It is a compilation of diary notes of Force Recon missions by a Navy Corpsman that was attached to Marine Force Recon Units in Vietnam and when he got back he compiled them into two books and they are fascinating, well-written quick reads that you will not be able to put down for long. I had both read within a week and I generally don't like to read if that tells you anything.
