I can second the being proud part Ruger. Both of my kids which are daughter 32 and son 30 have grown up being preached at about what drugs can do to you as also with alchol. They both have kids of their own now and as you said a father couldn't be any prouder than I am of them both.

Glad he is doing well, stay close to him Ruger, and may god bless!

True...... But I assure you good kids/adults don't always do good things.

Ruger, you have a MUCH stronger bond/relationship with your son than most fathers. I could tell that in the brief time I was around the two of you. Attaboy. But we all know the credit for his GOOD behavior goes to Mrs Ruger. \:D He is blessed to have 2 good parents that care.

I too have 2 daughters that I am very proud of. They both now have children of there own. I hope their children turn out as good as their mothers. So glad to read this post about a young man who is on the right track. You know children can be our greatest blessing in this world. They can also be our greatest heartache.

I believe DA hit the nail on the head.. PPL sometimes seem to have kids to have kids - then kinda let them raise themselves. We've been very involved in our boys lives (more than they'd prefer at times ) and SO FAR, I see the payoff. The thing is, life is tough, there will be curveballs thrown and it's how we work together as a family and obviously the decisions we make as an individual (based hopefully on what we've been taught) that keep us out of too much trouble.

Undoubtedly Ruger you and Mrs Ruger have been on your game with this young man \:\) Congrats!!
