Tried to connect with a bird this morning before heading to the office. Set up on a hot bird, but he was across the creek and refused to budge. Talked to me most of the morning. And I heard several other birds in varied distant locations.

Then from way off behind somewhere another tom started up, sounding like T-rex himself. Horrendous gobble. I tried to adjust to a different spot in hopes he'd come on in, but he clammed up tight. I don't think I got busted, but that may have been the case.

I'm fast running out of time for the hunt. Hope to stumble upon my acorn before it's over!

Oh, would love to have you along. You'd just hate my guts when I started walking out at 7:30 AM! \:D

Hopefully Thursday plays out well enough so I can stay a while.

Exactly why I am watching the sun rise from the woods before work. I will say, it has netted me two birds this season
