I have aquired a Parker Buck Buster crossbow. Now I have been shooting bows since I was old enough to breathe but I am green as they come when it comes to crossbows. My question is , what nocks to use on the bolts
? Do I use the ones that are flat on the end or the ones that have a slight curvature? Does it matter and if it does, why? Thanks in advanced!

Go to the Parker website and see what they recommend. Using the wrong nock could cause a dry fire.

For Excalibur, they recommend all you should use is flat nocks. Half moon will probably work for Parker.
Good Luck, never owned a Parker, go online and ask.

It all depends on the relationship of the string to the rail. The Excalibur set very close to the rail, but others like Horton set a little bit higher of the rail, so the half moon nock prevents a dry fire.

Go the the manufactures website, they all we give their recommendations for nock types.

Always be sure to check your crescent moon nocks. Make sure that it is horizontal with the rail. If it is up and down, the it will dry fire.

I mark the "down" fletching with a sharpie so I can make sure it goes in the right direction. Hard to see in the mornings after getting in the stand in the dark.

I've been using a BuckBuster for years and use half moon nocks.

Thanks for all the replies , very helpful. As of yesterday I now have a Wicked Ridge Warrior HL as well. Noticed it uses half moon nocks.

Any TenPoint crossbow (which includes Wicked Ridge line) shoots flat knocks.
