I was hoping to find some crappie today but they were nowhere to be found but the little bass were wearing the fluke out, lost a 5 pounder but we had a blast, kept 9 and 2 good bluegill to fillet

Biggest I caught, just under 3

One of the best bass I've caught came from a private pond. Can't overlook the ponds!

Hey easy45, I have fished a little farm pond just 4 miles east of Medon down Parkburg road. A buddy of mine knows the owner and gets us access behind the locked gate. Place is full of bass and no telling what else. I love farm pond fishing, it is how I started back in the day. Congrats, awesome catch.

Ponds can be good. I used to fish them a lot when in college and had one close by. I used to catch a ton on a fluke this time of year.

Pond fishing for bass can be a blast. My largest bass to date is from a farm pond. There's reasons why Bill Dance fishes private ponds a lot for bass.

Sounds like a nice day!
