....what's the best one to use for killing off all vegetation before plowing and disking, and how far in advance do you want to kill of the vegetation?

Most people just use generic roundup, active ingredient glyphosate. Really depends on what your wanting to establish? I would do something different if establishing perennial clover vs. annual food plot mixes vs. corn/beans, etc.

agreed 100%.
Please do not get round up brand round-up. Generic round-up is the same thing and half the price. It is called cornerstone around here. It is all like 43% glyphosate.

I would do it as soon as you can,let it die,then when other stuff starts coming up after you disc,and it will \:\) you can spray again before you plant.

Yep. Perennial clover I would spray multiple times.

I buy the roundup from a local farmer and get it cheaper than I can get the generic at the coop. Another option you could try.

you need to compare the cost of generic roundup to Monsanto roundup

generic is 3.2 ounces in 1 gallon of water

Monsanto weathermax is 2.2 ounces in 1 gallon of water, and the weathermax is basically rain fast, if it rains 10 minutes after its applied you basically have not lost anything, aka its still working for you
