Absolutely not.

Of course I have no idea what a yo yo is either, but it's definitely not too early.

Never too early but are they legal here? We quit using them in LA because the gators started tearing them all up.

I think the TWRA lakes have some restrictions on them for jugging/limb-lines/yo-yos on the weekends between April and October. Other than that, they are legal in most places.

We have a few that we mostly just use on noodles to keep tension on the hooks. They don't work QUITE as well under water, but they still work.
