Just realized that this was in the proposed budget. Not sure what would happen to all the public hunting land that TVA owns but everyone should keep an eye on this.

Selling the U.S-owned power company could reduce the federal deficit by at least $25 billion and "help put the nation on a sustainable fiscal path," Obama says in a budget document.

HAHAHAHA That would be like a rain drop in the Mississippi River!

The FED prints $85 billion a month just to buy bonds with made up money.

"The Federal Reserve looks set to sustain its $85 billion monthly bond-buying stimulus."

I wouldn't be against privatizing the company, but not all the land.

Obama wants to sell it so he can tax the crap out of it.

TVA pays for itself.

Here in Western KY a county is having trouble with TVA.

Seems like years ago the county and TVA agreed to set up a small public park next to the lake, TVA land and the county would do all the rest. The county build tables, outdoor shedders, restrooms, playgrounds, etc and took care of it all themselves. Now TVA wants the county to lease the land for $5,000 per year.

The country is going to pull up everything and get out.

It would prolly end up with the Army Corps of Engineers. We see how well that has worked for sportsmen around certain TN dams...
