I have been toying with the idea for a while, I would appreciate any real world experience.

If they are anything like their .223/5.56 AR's you will be very pleased.

All I have heard is good about Daniel Defense. My buddy has a 223 and 300aac and loves both of them and both are DD

If you reload, brass can be formed from 5.56/223 brass, and 110-125gr bullets are becoming more readily available for just this caliber (and its ballistic competitor, the .300 Whisper)

I have Less than $650 in my 300BLK, not including optics - I have played with it and was ringing steel gongs @ 300yds... Happy with it so far. I hunted about half of last deer season with it and will probably do the same again this year. Ammo has been a bit tough to find - I have about 600rds I had picked up here and there to get be by for a bit.

Can't go wrong with DD, Bigfoot is making more appearances than ammo right now though...reloading/handloading is about a must right now.
