I have a question-I bought a 45 cal. optima pro, I have tried the PB175gr. but my groups @ 100yds look like I shot the target with a shotgun, I tried loose powder and 777 pellets from 90 to 150 grs-didn't help. I got the t/c power belts to shoot o.k. but still not good. I don't feel comfortable with the load so I'm here for advice. I do hunt alot of open areas so I'm trying to get good accuracy @ 200yds. if possible. According to cva this should be possible. HELP!

I shot the 235 gr. precision rifle QT out of my .45 caliber Knight with pretty good results. The rifle never did like powerbelts. I've also heard the 200 gr. shockwaves shoot pretty well in the .45 calibers. I will say that the .45 caliber I had was a pretty picky rifle, load wise. It's just going to take some experimenting with different bullets, bullet weights and powder charges to find one that produces the accuracy you're looking for.
