How to prepare Carp

Start fire in pit, once coals are nice and hot as well as plentyful
make note to self, this is going to be good
while fire is burning (not to waist time) prepare in nice bucket or what ever you wish,
1 gallon of good clean dirt,
1/4 gallon of good clean water
pour contents of water into contents of dirt, stirring constantly
do not pour fast, mix dirt and water till stiff (similar to biscuit dough)
Take Carp, wrap in mud until fully covered, should be minimum of 1/4" thickly wrapped
Salt, pepper and any other spice you like
Put on hot coals, unwrapped, as mud will protect the fish
upon seeing the mud is dried from the heat, maybe a little crisp
remove from fire using protection as not to burn hands
break open, careful not to allow fish to break up of fall apart
Throw fish away and eat the dirt
lol!

haha there a lots of carp eating jokes.
My favorite is pretty old school I think.

Build a big camp fire out of anything you want.
Nail the carp to a 2x4.
Throw it in the fire and leave it there until the carp is completely black and brittle.
Throw the carp away and eat the 2x4

True story, you can't make this stuff up.
15 or so years ago, we were fishing for white bass in the Haw River near Raliegh NC. There was a group of hispanics that had caught a carp. They found a old refrigerator rack, and set in on a tire. They stuck the carp (whole ungutted) on the refrigerator rack sitting on the tire, then they set the tire on fire. You should've seen the black smoke rolling. After 15-20 minutes, they pulled the scales off and eat the dam nasty thing.

I learned a few things about Carp in Utah. There was a German lady that would take all we gave her.1st thing is to cut the tail off and bleed them.Cut the head off, gut em,cut in half and remove the mud vein. Sometimes she would smoke them till the bones were crisp enough to eat. She would also pressure them to soften the bones then make patties and fry them. Fixed right they are Salmon patties or smoked Salmon.

Not sure how they fix them but I've seen guys drop off a boat load after Bow fishing at the Mexican restaurant here.
