While I agree with what he is saying, I wonder how long it will be before he and other sherrifs are removed from office.

DHS.

This is only slightly related to the topic of gun control, but it they intend to do this in one area, you can bet it's going to be much more widespread than just drones. Apply this dynamic to other areas of Law enforcement and you'll see what DHS is shaping up to be....the national Civilian Police force Obama promised.

"Worse yet, both Democrats and Republicans are now openly discussing a plan to put all the drones flown in America's skies, including those owned and operated by local police departments, under the ultimate supervision of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice, consolidating the country's surveillance and law enforcement powers under one powerful federal police jurisdiction."

Been thinking about that ever since we found out aboput the dornes program here in the US and what Sen Paul was asking all night a couple weeks ago.

Add it up and Crappie is right.

By the way, have any of you had your Driver's license come up for renewal yet? My wife's renewal notice came in last week. It was titled "DHS" above the TN Dept. of Safety... Apparently, your driver's license is now a de facto national id card.

Amazingly, we all woke up one morning and found out we are now under the control of a corrupt and totalitarian government.

Conveniently, the country is too preoccupied with partisanship to realize what this is shaping up to be.

Remember. it was a Republican that gave us the Patriot act and DHS. It was the conservatives who warned of those powers and departments in the wrong hands.

Are there more "wrong" hands than this?

Where is the ACLU and all those liberals complaining about civil liberties when the patriot act was being debated? Suddenly civil liberties are out of fashion when it's their own pressing the country into a police state.

Remember when Bush was a fascist? But now Obama is the great liberator? Seriously?

If/when there is ever another conservative elected, then we'll see how upset they are with abandonment of personal rights and liberty. Slavery is OK, if the master shares their ideology.....FOOLS
