...and as long as its a mature gobbler, 2 years or older, I shoot him. Same here.
Yeah, I could care less about the beards and don't even keep them. I give the tail feathers to a primitive archer who uses them as fletchings, cook the feet (and spurs) down for stock and throw the beard out with the plucked feathers. It's more about the aesthetic of the hunt and the food for me.

...I could care less about the beards and don't even keep them. You should sell them on eBay to help pay for gas and such.

I think they have them posed to be side by side with the tailfans displayed. They might be young birds, but just on that edge.
I doubt they'd be sending the pics around if the birds were not legal. Sure it's possible, but you'd have to be high-level stupid.
Too early for the jealous hunter syndrome guys. Give it a few more weeks.
Nice lookin' birds!

I cannot believe people are actually bidding on those! Why would anyone in their right mind bid $65 for 5 turkey beards? Unbelievable!

No doubt I'm jealous. Lol maybe its just making me crazy, but i just call 'em like I see 'em. I hope everything is legal and if so, congrats to the hunters. I kinda think the 6" beard law is dumb anyway. If a man is happy shooting a jake then he aught to be allowed to. One of my favorite turkeys i ever killed was a 3 yr old with a 4" solid blonde beard. I would have been pissed if not allowed to shoot him.
