Friend of mine was picked for Shelby Forest Turkey Quota Hunt. He is wondering about taking his son with him to spectate during this hunt. Another friend said that is not allowed... that the only way a "spectator" could be present is if they also had been picked for the quota hunt.

What is allowed?

Have him contact the Shelby WMA Area Manager to see what is allowed on that WMA. Their number is linked with that WMA in the Hunting Guide.

I called Area Manager Chris Park with a question about Shelby Forest and left a message for him to return my call early last week and I'm still waiting for his call. Any suggestions???

Call the office at 901-876-5215. I spoke with someone there and was told to stop by the Visitors center with my license and description of vehicle that will be used for the hunt to get the free permit. I was told weekend hours are 7 AM to 10 PM.

Edit: I just realized this wasn't the question, but it may help someone.

I drove over last Sunday afternoon and got my free permit. And I finally talked to Area Manager Chris Park.
