Got several locations we are wanting to put some shooting houses for the 2013-14 season on our lease. I am getting an early start. This one will eventually be a 4x6' shooting house, 8 feet off the ground overlooking a field that is 800 yds long and 450 yds wide.
This is the front panel. The sliding window came from an old truck camper topper that had been abandoned years ago. I found it deep in the woods, covered with leaves and dirt.
Im always thinking.......

Put this one up last weekend:

Looks nice.
Do you set the posts in the ground[concrete] or on the ground?

On the ground and anchored on all four sides.

How do you anchor them, if you don't mind. I built one last year and put it 3' deep in the ground. Would like to build some more but sure don't want to dig those holes again!!

I either drive metal fence posts (T Posts) beside the legs and wire to the stand legs. Or, I have poured a bag of quick-crete in a hole in the ground directly under the platform, put an eye bolt in it, and eye bolt in the center (bottom) of platform and use a cable and turnbuckle between the two eyebolts.
