I need to sight in a .22, .243 and a .223. My shots will be around 50 yards in an open field shooting into a large mound of dirt. The wind is so gusty right now. Is it a worthless cause, or no effect at 50 yards?

I would say you could get them very close today. Might just gave to do a little fine tuning another day.

Try to play with the wind shoot when it is at its lowest. It will bother the 22 more than the others at 50yrs. I have shot P-Dogs in 40mh winds past 600yrds playing with the wind.

I hate shooting on a windy day like today..I'd wait for a better day.

SEC is right. You should be able to get it close but may take some fine tuning later.

The price and availability of ammo being what it is I would wait for a less windy day.
