This was from the AWB commitee meeting when there was a proposed amendment to exempt active duty military, reservists, and veterans just like the exemption for LEO's both active and retired.

Here is what she said word for word:

"...this adds an exemption of retired military. umm, as i understand our bill, umm, no issue has arose in this regard during the 10 years the expired ban was effect, err in effect. and what we did in the other bill, was umm, exempt posession by the united states or a department or agency of the united states so that included active military. the problem with expanding this is that you know with the advent of PTSD, uhh, which i think is a new phenomenon as a product of the iraq war, umm, it's not clear how the seller or transferer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a vetran, and um that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this. so you know i would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but um, i think we have to -- if you're going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally, uh, dont have access to this kind of weapon".

Can there be any stupider statement? Does she not recall that every war some of the returning service people that had some problems?

Even WWII we had "shell shocked". I guess now that it is called by a fancy new name it is different.

And you expected anything different from Feinstein? She's as radically ingnorant as Pelosi.

"Shell shock" was the term coined in WW I (because they believed the condition was a symptom of brain injuries caused by close proximity to heavy shell bursts--a concusive force trauma to the brain). During WW II, the condition was most often referred to as "Battle Fatigue."

By the way, just as an aside, Feinstein's husband was a major player regarding Al Gore's recent sell-out to al-jazeera, and thru her husband, Feinstein has greatly profited by this sale to al-jareera.

Too many of these politicians are more interested in helping America's enemies and themselves, rather than looking out for American's best interests. And seems they have nothing but disdain for our returning servicemen.

I will also point this out one more time that there are varying degrees of PTSD. Also to deny any Vet their rights, unless a crime has been commited, is a rediculous, degrading, and might I say prejudice act.

Of course they want to disarm the small portion of the country that actually understand and believe in their oaths.

I'll go as far as to say as the far left would love to disarm vets with PTSD because they know darn well that's gonna be the fiercest pockets of resistance.
