but there is a difference in all of them when in the field if you are used to one style action you can operate it blind fold i love the feel of the m700 but if i had this m 70 in the woods i would die i hate the safety on it

every rifle has a different style of safety and all but the m700 to me is annoying
i cant stand my savage ml10-2 i will soon have a rem700 smokless ml because of this

I am stuck more on the safety and action style of the 700 rather than anything else. I'm not against any other rifles but they are not for me. The Savage acu-trigger is not for me either, while some people love it.

I see an M70 in your safe in the near future DA.

Try this load in that M70 and see if those groups tighten up.

Well at least you have not owned one I actually owned one when they came out with a 300 Weatherby. That was many, many moons ago.
