I don't know how it was designed or the intent of the design but the quality of hunting has suffered from it...You would think if bag limits increase so would harvest numbers however harvest numbers have actually decreased since bag limits increased......Does it make sense to you?? It doesn't to me.... Areas up front can't handle a 4 bird limit. Just my opinion and its not worth much......this is just based 20+ years of hunting there.

But the reason harvest numbers hasn't increased could be due to military personnel locking up the open areas and not hunting them, thus lowering the number of hunters.

That could be part of it I don't know... I do know 10yrs ago I could ride around see all the birds I wanted to in just about any area and now it's waste of time. Whereas I used to see 35-40 different groups of birds now you would lucky to see 10... I am talking about upfront areas not in the rear areas...plenty of birds back there..

Been killin turkeys since early 70s.Shelby Forest,North and South Anderson Tulley,Catoosa,Cheatham,Ft Campbell, LBL,and every other county in middle Tennessee.Back then you had to hunt em.Theres so many now just climb in your blind and ambush em when they walk by.Climb a tree in any of the north areas and in a days time one will walk by. I was a member of the Middle Tennessee NWTF chapter when there were only 3 chapters in the whole state. Been around a shot more than my share and still say."any bird that walks up to a fence and trys to climb through a 4in opening instead of just flying over it is pretty stupid.
Good luck to all my friends hunting the camp.
God Bless Ben Lee and Jack Murray.

Now that made me laugh pretty good. Thank you for that one. Joker they do have spurs and a beard so you can compare them for trophy purposes. It's just on a smaller scale.
