Anyone know of a source for info to determine the manufacture date of a Plainfield Machine m-1 carbine? I found a range of years for a range of serial nos.but can't get it narrowed down.

The Plainfield M1 carbines were made from 1962-1978. The quantity produced was approximately 112,000. Determining the exact year of manufacture doesn't really impact the guns value all that much. I've owned one and they are great shooters.
