I stumbled across an older model Marlin 60 .22 a while back and bought it. I've only used the open sights and it shoot great, but today after shooting my Dad's .22 which had a scope, it made me want to get one for my gun as well.
I've never used a scope on one of my guns before. So what is a good, yet cheap scope that is for rimfire .22's?
I saw some very cheap bushnells at walmart, but are they worth it?
Thank you.

Ive got one of those walmart cheap bushnell scopes. Its ok for a cheap scope. The view is a little fuzzy around the edges, but acceptable for a cheap scope. Basically what you get at higher price points is a clearer view through the scope. In my experience a cheap scope (with a decent quality scope mount) works fine on a 22 rifle because i typically wasnt shooting long distances, and i normally dont shoot a 22 rifle in low light conditions where a better scope would transmit more light. I finally had to change all my scopes on every rifle to better quality glass just because i hit middle age and the older eyes needed the clearer view. Im very glad i did that because the view through the better scopes is bright and clear.

I'd go by Gander or Bass Pro and look thru some.. Most any will hold up on a .22 if its decent to begin with but the better the glass the better shots you'll make. There's always some used Nikon Pro-Staff's floating around for around 100 or so.

K is correct and Pro Staff dollar for dollar is about the best you can get when you find them for $99.99....

Thank you for the leads! I'll look around, check some out, and try one out.
