Ok my dad is letting me use his spare boat needs new gas in it . Well its a late 80s model 90 hp johnson with the oil injection, i dont entirely trust the injection system and have read some horror stories about it. What do you guys think plug it off and mix tge gas or should i put my trust in it. Dads is plugged off and never had a problem

Took mine in for service Friday. Changed the impeller,lower unit lube,spark plugs,and last of all,removed the entire oil injection and reservoir system. Works perfectly but my mechanic explained how the system functioned and the consequence of it failing. It's a lot less expensive to add the oil at the pump.

There is a gear pump you got to block off or will pump air into your fuel system. Can't tell you how but I'm gonna do the same thing myself once I figure out how! Lol

Haha yea my dads just has the tube cut with a bolt stuck in it and clamped
Not sure about the alarm thing though
