Depending on whom one listens to or watches there are predictions ranging anywhere from two days of heavy rain to a possible blizzard of March 1993 proportions for the Appalachians here in Virginia!!
Whats it gonna do?

winter storm watch here,calling for 4-10 inches..Pretty wide range IMO..I think they still don't know.I guess it depends on how fast the cold air filters back in on the back side.

Higher gas prices.

Pretty much can count on one thing it will produce.
Higher gas prices.
Dunno how, but it will.
Oil is off by 10% over the past week and a half. So surely gas will follow......by November!! 
And before somebody says these high gas prices are due to refining capabilities[or a lack of] it sure doesn't seem to matter when oil is going up!!
So when is the storm to hit Tenn? Due here mid Tuesday.

There is so many variables for this storm that they don't know. For northeast TN just a slight shift of the track of the low could change our forecast from mostly rain to a good snow.
