Supposing a fellow came into the Possession of a DPMS LR - 308 and was wondering what would be a good reasonably priced scope set-up for it. What would you recommend? Also, this fellow has seen 308. Ammo on store shelves and was wondering if the 308 brass is as hard to get as 223 and some of the other. Where would be a good place to find some if this fellow wanted to do some reloading? Just supposing here.

I have this scope on mine right now:

And these rings:

I like the setup and the scope is much better than my previous experience with BSA products. I would never have tried it, but a friend has one and I was impressed by it's quality and performance related to price.
Good brass is almost impossible to find right now at decent prices.

Depends on what "reasonably priced scope" means to you. Are you talking $100, $200, $300, etc... for your max price that you want to spend?
There are numerous options out there. I personally would opt for a 1.5-5x power scope.

I have been checking for 308 brass and there is none anywhere. In normal times, Grafs, Midsouth, and Brassmanbrass.com are all good places. I keft out at least ten others
