Got my pedestal finished. This was wood from an old barn that was on a farm I hunted for 35 years. The owner died, and the farm sold. The new owner took a dozer, and pushed it down. This is all the original wood that is left. The deer on the right is my Reelfoot gun kill taken this year, almost 155 inchs, and the one on the left is a bow kill from 09, around 152. This pic of the deer on the right doesnt do him justice. His 3s are around 12 inchs.

Thanks, I said the same thing for years. Believe me, it can, and if you hunt enough, it probably will happen.

Wow, very cool. It would be nice to see a picture of the pedestal all the way down to the floor. Looks like a nice piece of furniture.

Mike, here is a pic of the same type hanger mounted on a wall in my shop. The male fits on the back of the form, and its a small piece of square steel that slides inside the square tubeing.

Vermin93, here is a full pic of the pedestal. Its 32 inchs tall, 24 inchs square. The cedar limb was from an old tree that had died, and been there for years. I had always said I was going to use it one day, and finally got the chance.

That is one of the coolest whitetail mounts I have ever seen. I love the rustic look of that pedestal. Very nice work!

The back of a regular form has a wood panel for mounting. Does the pedestal mount also? If not how do you mount it to a wall or in your case, a tree?

The back of the wall pedestal has a flat wooden back, plywood. The male is a piece of square steel, app. 3/16 square by 2 inchs long with a piece of flat metal welded cross ways on it. It has two holes which screw to the wooden back of the form, then you place the male into the female bracket.

Wyoming public land 2011 He has great curls and mass ended up scoring 80 2/8 a super buck for public ground. I watched him for three days before it opened, took 15 minutes on opening morning to take him. Had a ball. Thanks
